A catch-all functionality that is activated for a certain email mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise put, if you delete an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled address under the exact same domain name, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you run some business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited bulk emails, you can combine the catch-all option with anti-spam filters in order to receive only real emails in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulty in case you have a shared web hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager tool in our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel is fully featured, yet incredibly simple to use, and it will permit you to activate different options, including the catch-all one, with just a few mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you’ve set up will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one you will see a small "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking it for a second time will deactivate it. Since you can have just one such mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already got a different one with this feature enabled or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all feature can be activated easily if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will find a small-size icon handily situated right next to each one of them. With just a click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature using the contextual menu that will pop up. In case any of the requirements for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will inform you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
